MARILYN C. DURANT, M.S., SPHR, SHRM-SCP

As President, Human Capital Consultant for Durant Resources Group, Marilyn and the DRG team provide multiple organizations with customized HR solutions to improve human capital and organizational effectiveness.    

Marilyn is an accredited Senior HR Professional with both SHRM- SCP and SPHR designations. Having served as the Senior HR Practitioner for public companies such as Bloomingdale’s, Sysco Foods, Jordan Marsh & Burdines stores, Marilyn carved her corporate footprint early in her career paving the way as an HR Business Partner to global and national corporate clients.   

In the late 90’s Marilyn co-founded Berke Durant & Associates with 20 employees, later merging with RSM McGladrey, heading up their Florida practice before joining Right Management Consultants as VP Client Services.  

Following her role as VP of HR for a local start up that relocated out of Florida, Marilyn took charge of her career destiny and created Durant Resources Group. DRG partners with organizations of all sizes and industries; providing HR strategies and delivery solutions driving business outcomes throughout the employee life cycle. This includes talent acquisition, talent strategy, career transition, employee development and business partnership.     

Marilyn served three years on the Palm Beach SHRM Board and was awarded their HR Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015. She is our Past District Director and Past President for the Human Resources Association of Broward County, awarded District Director and Chapter President of the year and inducted into their HR Hall of Fame and later, the Business Journal’s HR Excellence Award.

Marilyn holds a Master of Science Degree in Adult Education and Management from FIU and a Bachelor’s in Education from the University of Miami.
